Rental Information
Easy to access, yet secluded and serene, the Stevens Pavilion Picnic Shelter in the Hoyt Arboretum is available for half or full-day rental.
The picnic shelter is an A-frame structure with wooden beams and stone floors, open on all four sides and nestled in grove of Douglas fir trees. It is located across the street from the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center with its restrooms, bus stops and parking.
Here are some important facts you may want to know if you are considering renting the shelter.

~ Electricity: 110 v only
~ Water: No potable water in the shelter, but water is available at the Visitor Center across from the shelter on Fairview Boulevard
~ Tables: Ten permanently affixed picnic tables within its interior, and four permanently affixed tables in the grassy area surrounding it.
~ Capacity: 100 people
~ Vehicle access: available for caterers and delivery trucks
Rental proceeds support the Hoyt Arboretum plant collections and programs.

Wedding permits are issued for the current calendar year only. Reservation are taken beginning the first business day of the new year and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-in customers are given priority. Picnics and other events can be scheduled beginning the first week in March.
Picnic reservations must be made by mail or FAX (503) 823-2515 beginning the third Monday of February. Walk-in and phone-in reservations (using a valid Visa or MasterCard) will be accepted the first Monday in March. This includes both standard picnic as well as Special Use reservations. Please note that Special Use Applications must be made a minimum of (10) working days in advance of use to avoid paying a late fee. The Special Use Application/Processing Fee for events booked less than 10 working days in advance is $121.25.
Payment in cash, by check, money order or credit card (Visa & Mastercard) is accepted.
