Many ducks call the Pacific Northwest home during the winter, and they can be challenging to tell apart. Attend this workshop to nail down the basics of identifying the ducks, geese, and swans that will be coming in for a landing on our many lakes and ponds.
About the instructor: Longtime birder and teacher Laura Whittemore loves to show beginners the tricks of the trade. She has taught classes for Portland Audubon and previously worked for Backyard Bird Shop. Laura holds a BA in Biology from Lewis and Clark College and has traveled in the US, Australia, South Africa, and Antarctica in search of birds.
The Zoom meeting link will be emailed before the program and you will receive a link of the live recording the day after the program.
