Do you have a love of the outdoors and an interest in youth and family environmental education? Become a volunteer Nature Educator at Hoyt Arboretum! Nature Educators support Pop-Up Nature!, Family Forest Days, and summer field trips to introduce participants to the wonders of nature and the science of trees through fun, hands-on activities.
Volunteer as a Nature Educator to learn:
* Best practices for youth and family programs, including teaching tips, group management, and engagement activities;
* Basic ecology and botany along with techniques for engaging children outdoors;
* Good communication and public speaking skills.

Hoyt Arboretum’s summer program season runs from mid-June through August. Opportunities are available on weekdays and weekends. Volunteer training begins on June 1.
