Hoyt Arboretum is home to a global collection of over 2,200 species of trees from all around the world. Join Elizabeth Higgins on the trails each week to visit many of these species as you explore their unique textures and colors. Close examination of bark, cones, seeds, fruit and leaves will bring new and exciting challenges to your art practice each week. Bring your love of learning and creativity; no previous nature drawing experience is required.
Pre-registration is required and includes all 4 dates: September 8, 15, 22, and 29
Registration closes at 4pm on Thursday, September 7th
About the instructor: Elizabeth Higgins is a watercolor artist and arts instructor who develops and facilitates classes and workshops connecting people to nature, mindfulness and creativity. She is known for her calm, supportive teaching style, and her approach is centered on the beliefs that both nature and creative expression are necessary components of human well-being.
