If you’ve explored anywhere in the Portland area, you’ve probably noted how green it is. The trees and the ferns provide much of the green, but so do the lichens and moss. Join instructor Ruth Williams as she takes you on a walking exploration of the most common tiny green wonders you will see on local trails. Learn what makes each of them unique and how to identify common species.
- Class size is limited, please register in advance
- Registration closes Saturday, October 19th at 4:00pm
About the instructor: Ruth Williams is a consulting arborist and plant enthusiast with degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from UC Davis. She has been drawing and painting plants for 17 years. She teaches botanical illustration and plant identification classes at Hoyt.
