Nature journaling is the practice of drawing and writing in response to observations of nature. Enjoy a “conversation with nature” by slowing down to notice and record what you experience among the flora and trees of the arboretum. With prompts and guidance from the instructor, students will spend two hours in the forest with their pen and sketchbook, returning to the classroom for the final hour of class to add watercolor to their pages. No experience necessary. Attendees will need a journal and any writing utensils they wish to bring. Watercolor paints will be provided, however if you have your own, please bring them. Taught by instructor Elizabeth Higgins.
