Start your Wednesday by warming up your body with movement on the trails. Join Susie Neighbors, one of our newest instructors and Arboretum neighbor, on a hike along the Arboretum trails. There will be points along the way where the group will stop and stretch under the canopy of the trees or in the meadows of sunshine. Susie will help you expand your muscles and joints so that you’re ready to take on the rest of your week. All levels of experience are welcome.
Class size is limited; online registration is required.
About the Instructor: Susie Neighbors is a lifelong competitor in gymnastics and the University of Oregon Track and Cross Country teams. She is the winner of many local, regional, and national races including 3 international races in Portland’s sister city Sapporo, Japan. There she won Gold in 1982 for the 10k, then Silver and Bronze in the 90’s, and has earned the title as one of the ‘Pioneer Women Runners of Oregon.’ Susie has been teaching yoga and stretching for 25 years. Susie is also a regular Hoyt Arboretum visitor with her dog Mia and is excited to share her practices with you along the trails and under the trees.
